3 Reasons the EOFY is the Perfect Time for Learning and Development

With the end of financial year fast approaching, it is the perfect time of year to talk to your manager or HR about starting a course and focussing on your learning and development. Here’s why:

1. Spend the L&D budget

Most businesses have a budget allocated to the learning and development of their staff and many have a “use it or lose it” policy when it comes to department budgets and the EOFY. Check with your HR representative if there is learning and development budget allocated to your role that you can spend before June 30th.

2. Tax Claims

Self-education course fees can be tax deductible if it is work related, of course, there will be eligibility requirements to meet and each individual must obtain their own tax advice, but if you are interested, you can read more about that HERE.

3. Good time to re-align with your goals

It’s mid-way through the year, now is the perfect time to look over the goals you set for yourself, how are you going? Taking the time to focus on your development now will not only help you feel motivated to stick to your goals for 2023 but it will give you a “fresh start” for half two.

How good would it feel to have taken a step in the right direction before the second half of the year starts?!

Enrolling in the Certified High Performing EA is easy and could be exactly what you need to develop your skills, improve your mindset and increase your salary potential in the new financial year.
